These chips are up to and around 6mm in size. Whisky oak uses blended whisky and the oak smoke flavour for a strong aroma that has a punch!
Whisky oak works well with beef and game meats but also works well with fish, particularly salmon, herring and mackerel.
These chips are between 6mm and 10mm in size. Almond chips produce a smooth nutty flavour and you can taste the almond. Try almond wood chips with pork and different types of seafood.

The chunks can also be used for cooking at higher temperatures as they will take longer to light than smaller sized chips.
As with wood chips we recommend soaking the wood chunks underwater, this time for 15- 20 minutes, as this means the wood chunks will take longer to catch light and will produce a longer smoke time that is more mellow than the wood chips.
